Notice of Intention to Lease - Brookside Recreation Reserve
Melton City Council (Council) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 of its intention to enter the following lease:
Land owned by Council
Council proposes entering the following lease of land owned by Council:
Land: Part of the land described in Certificate of Title Volume 10863 Folio 142 being Reserve 1 on Plan of Subdivision PS512664S known as the Brookside Recreation Reserve at 72-80 Caroline Springs Boulevard, Caroline Springs VIC 3023
Tenant: Telstra Corporation Limited ACN 051 776 556
Commencement Date: No earlier than 30 days after 23 April 2025
Term: 10 years with option to renew for 2 further 5-year terms
Rent: $7,500 plus GST per annum with 3% fixed annual increases
Permitted Use: Installation, inspection, maintenance, construction, excavation (if necessary), replacement, repair, renewal alteration, upgrade, cleaning, operation and removal of the Tenant’s Equipment for the purpose of communications operations including cellular mobile telephone service station, antennae and associated services.
This is a co-location proposal with an existing telecommunications carrier on an existing monopole. No new towers are proposed for construction.
