Rates hardship support

We understand that some people in our community are facing financial hardship, and we can support you with payment plans, payment deferrals, and waivers of penalty interest.

The following options are available to assist ratepayers with paying their rates accounts:

Option 1:

Payment Plan (no form of evidence required)
If you are are experiencing financial hardship but can afford to pay your rate arrears within a two year period, contact our Revenue team to set up a weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment plan to help spread the payment of your rates.

Option 2:

Hardship Payment Plan (Financial hardship application and evidence required)
If you are experiencing financial hardship and you cannot pay your rate arrears within a two year period, you can apply for a weekly, fortnightly or monthly hardship payment plan, with special consideration of a smaller payment amount.  Please complete the Financial hardship application form below.

Please note: in cases of extreme financial hardship we will consider a short-term deferral of your rates.
