Learn how to relax your mind and body through gentle exercise and meditation. The ancient Chinese practice of Tai Chi provides a great way to improve your balance, coordination and overall wellness through simple movements. Tai Chi can also help reduce fragility and risk of trips and falls as well as improving pain levels.

Melton Learning Directory offers Tai Chi classes for all ages and abilities across our community centres. If you’ve been a bit hesitant to give it a go, join one or all of these four free sessions to see how you like it.

Melton Town Centre Scavenger Hunt

Do you and your family want to have fun and get active all while getting to know your local area? Then take part in our Melton Town Centre Scavenger Hunt.

Your adventure begins at the Melton City Council Civic Centre where you can either walk, ride or scoot around Melton to complete tasks, find exciting clues and learn more about the town centre. The hunt finishes at the Melton Amphitheatre where you can enjoy a tasty gelato, eat a delicious meal, or continue exploring the surrounding area.

A copy of hunt map and activity sheet can be downloaded here.(PDF, 2MB)

If you choose to walk for this activity, it is an easy walk on paved footpaths that we expect will take approximately 45minutes. The walk is suitable for those that use a wheelchair or mobility device as well as parents with prams.

When travelling around town please remember to supervise children at all times, ensure dogs are on leash, take care when crossing the road and wear a helmet if you are riding or scooting.
