Victorian Local Government Women's Charter
At the Ordinary Meeting (23 July 2013), Council reaffirmed its commitment to the Victorian Local Government Women's Charter, nominating all Councillors as charter champions.
The charter, developed in 1996, supports the principles of gender equity, diversity and active citizenship. It is unique to Victoria and is endorsed by the Womens Participation in Local Government Coalition (WPILGC), Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) and Victorian Local Government Association (VLGA).
