Current and upcoming projects

Arbour Boulevard Central Reserve

A great spot to roll out a picnic rug and enjoy some fresh air, this neighbourhood park is perfect for relaxed family time. Kids can explore the play equipment while others stroll along the shared path or settle into the seating areas.

Arnolds Creek Recreation Reserve

A major sporting and community hub, offering sports fields, basketball and netball facilities, cricket nets and club amenities. Families can also enjoy play equipment, picnic areas, shared paths and plenty of seating.

Becca Way Car Park Upgrade

We're upgrading Becca Way car park to include extensions and improvements, which will also support pedestrian safety.

Bridge Road Raised Pedestrian Operated Signalised Crossing Stage 2A

Works to deliver the Stage 2A of the Bridge Road Pedestrian Operated Signalised Crossing outside Strathtulloh Primary School, are expected to commence late 2025.

Cobblebank Community Services Hub

The Cobblebank Community Services Hub will accommodate a range of community, allied health and education services to meet the needs of our growing community and the broader region.

Deanside Children’s and Community Centre

Rapidly growing Deanside is getting a new Children's and Community Centre, supporting families with kindergarten as well as maternal and child health services and rooms for the community.

Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve

Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve is a central gathering place for the community and home to several local sporting clubs. The multi-use sports field supports cricket and football, alongside a basketball court, netball courts, tennis court and cricket nets. A pavilion sits at the heart of the reserve, while the skate park and shared paths add more recreation options.

Exford Road and Greigs Road Intersection Upgrade

A new roundabout will replace the existing T-intersection to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for all road users by reducing vehicle speeds and lowering the risk of collisions.

Little Blind Creek Reserve - Gunnawarra Rd to Centenary Ave

This linear reserve includes open green space supported by bins for visitor convenience. The natural corridor provides room for walking and casual outdoor activity within the neighbourhood.

MacPherson Park Redevelopment

The redevelopment of MacPherson Park stems from a November 2017 Future Directions Master Plan.

McDonald Street Reserve

McDonald Street Reserve provides an inviting stretch of nature among the homes in residential Melton South, perfect for a relaxing walk or informal sports. The simple green space makes it easy for families to enjoy casual outdoor time close to home.

Melton Town Centre Revitalisation Projects

Melton’s town centre will undergo a revitalisation with a redesign of civic spaces, a program of events and a campaign to engage with local businesses, supported by a $3.277 million boost from the State Government’s Suburban Revitalisation program.

Mount Carberry Reserve

Mount Carberry Recreation Reserve is a spacious local hub for sport and recreation. The multi-use sports field supports cricket and football, while basketball facilities and cricket nets provide additional ways to stay active. A pavilion anchors the sporting activity, and shared paths connect the reserve to the wider neighbourhood.

New Aquatic and Leisure Centre

The City of Melton’s new aquatic and leisure centre will be constructed on Beattys Road in Fraser Rise.

Norm Raven Reserve

Norm Raven Reserve features picnic facilities with a BBQ along with park benches, seats and tables and a drinking fountain. There's play equipment a basketball half court for getting active. The spacious lawn areas support casual gatherings and everyday neighbourhood recreation.

Parkwood Green Reserve

Parkwood Green Reserve is a lively local spot where sport and family time come together. There’s a basketball court and tennis court for active play, along with a pavilion that supports community gatherings and casual meet-ups. Kids can enjoy the playground while adults relax at the BBQ area or settle into the park seating nearby.

Sugar Gum Drive and Boronia Drive footpath development

We're constructing a footpath network along Sugar Gum Drive and Boronia Drive in Sugar Gum Estate.

Taylors Hill Central Park

Taylors Hill Central Park is well set up for family time. Most of the playground is protected by shade sails, and there are BBQs, picnic tables and a water tap ready for outdoor meals. A drinking fountain keeps everyone hydrated, and the generous grassy area leaves plenty of space for informal games and relaxed gatherings.

West Melton Recreation Reserve

West Melton Recreation Reserve offers a great mix of organised sport and family fun. The tennis courts are well used by the local community, supported by a pavilion for local clubs and events. Away from the courts, the playground is a highlight, featuring a wave slide, climbing wall and more. It’s a relaxed, open space where sport and everyday recreation come together.
