Start-Up Support

The City of Melton Start-Up Academy provides flexible support if you are looking to start a business.

Participation is free and open to residents of the City of Melton.

The Start-Up Academy program has a strong focus on accessible education, practical learning and provides access to an experienced business consultant. This will help you build knowledge and a deep understanding of the key steps that you need to take to ensure that your business is successful.

Meet your business coach 

The program will be delivered via webinars and supported by micro mentoring sessions after each session. Further learning via an online Learning Management System, and access to a networking group is available for those participants that are ready to develop a concept and take it to market.

If you can’t attend a webinar and life gets in the way, we completely understand.  A recording will be made available for attendees and registered participants after each session. This will allow you to catch up, review past content, and study at your own pace.

The 2025-26 City of Melton Start-Up Academy is accepting EOIs and entries into the program year-round and participants can choose to attend all sessions or just those that are of particular interest to their business and needs.
