Melton City Council will construct two new pedestrian bridges over Toolern Creek in Hannah Watts Park, Melton. The share paths crossing Toolern Creek are subject to frequent flooding, and the new bridges will improve connectivity and safety.

June 2026 Update
The project continues to progress through the design development phase. Following completion of the remaining design and environmental assessment activities, the contractor will commence bridge fabrication works.
Construction is expected to commence in late 2026 or early 2027, subject to final approvals and project scheduling. There will be pedestrian detours in place once works commence.
