September 2026 Update

Temporary closure of Bridge Road during September school holidays

To construct the new crossings, we will need to close Bridge Road for two weeks during the school holidays with traffic diverted via Diamond Parade, Stonehenge Drive and Alabaster Avenue.

To assure traffic can flow Council has added no standing areas, so cars cannot park, in the following locations:

  • North side of Stonehenge Drive
  • West side of Alabaster Avenue

Bus route 454 will divert via the detour with two temporary bus stops in place on Diamond Parade.

Heavy vehicles will detour via Brooklyn, Abbey and Ferris Roads.

Please view the detour map below.
