Cobblebank Community Services Hub

Construction commencement: 2025
Facility operational: May 2027

Melton City Council is creating a purpose-built facility designed to grow and evolve with the needs of our community. The Hub will support the ongoing delivery of essential services, offering flexible spaces for both community organisations and commercial providers. With a strong focus on sustainability, the building is targeting a Green Star rating and will provide accessible, adaptable spaces that respond to the changing priorities of service providers and the people they support - now and into the future.

Help us name Cobblebank's brand new facility!

As part of this exciting development, Council is inviting the community to help choose a name for the new facility.  Naming is important as it helps people identify and connect with places, supports emergency services, and ensures smooth delivery of goods and services across Victoria.  We’re asking the community to vote on which naming theme should guide the naming of the building, and to share your own suggestions.

The four themes are:

  • Linking the name to the place (reflecting the local area and its identity)
  • Recognition and use of traditional owner languages (honouring Indigenous heritage)
  • Gender Equality (promoting inclusive representation)
  • Commemorative names (recognising people or events of significance)

To submit your vote and share your own naming suggestions visit: Naming Cobblebank's Future Community Services Building.

Consultation closes on 22 December 2025.
