Due to high population growth within the City of Melton, some household bin collection schedules have changed.

The changes came into effect on Monday 4 May 2026.
Affected households will have received a letter in the mail during April, detailing changes to their collection.
You can also simply enter your address into the interactive map below. A pop up will tell you whether your household is affected and let you know the changes specific to your property.

The City of Melton is growing quickly, and more people are moving into some areas. To keep the service working well, bin collection routes have changed.
Your new bin collection schedule started from the week beginning Monday 4 May 2026.
Your bin collection day, week, or day and week, may have changed. Use the map on this webpage to see your new bin collection schedule.
Changeover Week is the first week of the new schedule, starting Monday 4 May 2026.
Put your bins out before 6am on your new collection day.
If you forget to put your bins out according to collection changes during changeover week, don’t worry.
During changeover week, bins will be collected based on your new schedule. However, if you forget and put your bins out on the old schedule, you can contact Council to advise us and arrange a collection.
After changeover week, your bins will only be collected according to the new schedule.
