The six key stages below include relevant links, forms and information to enable a smooth process from start to finish.

Council is committed to proactively working with developers and their consultants to facilitate attractive, functional and sustainable urban development.  To achieve this it is critical to have early discussions with Council regarding the vision for the development site, addressing issues such as urban design, staging, landscaping, delivery of key infrastructure, drainage, protection of environmental and heritage features, on site advertising etc.  It is important that any specific issues can be addressed early to allow for timely resolution.

Council has adopted a project management approach in dealing with major developments, including estate subdivisions.  A project manager (planner) will be allocated to a project and has responsibility for coordinating all engagement with and feedback from Council.
