Council is committed to the design and construction of the Plumpton Community Centre in order to ensure the provision of vital services and programs for the rapidly growing Fraser Rise community and surrounding areas. This includes providing the required infrastructure to meet the needs of the growing community, including the provision of early years, family and community services.

The centre will be located at 19 Pear Parade and works are expected to start in early 2024 and completed by early 2025. 

The new building will include: 

  • Kindergarten rooms 
  • Outdoor licenced play space
  • Maternal and Child Health 
  • Community meeting spaces 
  • Community meeting room
  • Furniture

H Troon have been awarded as the head contractor. 

Funding partners 

Melton City Council is funding this project along with external funding through the Victorian State Government Growing Suburbs Fund and Building Blocks Fund.

Project updates

Stage 1 is progressing well with the the Kindergarten/Licensed spaces currently on track to be delivered in time for 2025 term 1 intake and Stage 2 being the community spaces being delivered in 2025.

The Community Centre is taking shape with the steel frame and roof installed. The external brickwork is complete. Internal carpentry, tiling and plaster activities are taking place.
