Have your say on City of Melton's recreation reserve masterplans

Published on 16 August 2024

Melton City Council is developing master plans for four new recreation reserves across the municipality – and we want your help.

Council is committed to providing sport and recreation facilities and open spaces that meet the needs of our community now and into the future.

The master plans will provide clear direction for the future development at each reserve.

Each draft master plan includes proposals for additions such as football and cricket ovals, soccer pitches, or tennis and netball courts, new pavilions, facilities to support local sports clubs, play spaces, car parks and landscaping. We want you to hear your ideas on what facilities and elements you would like to see in each plan.

The four spaces are at Courteney Boulevard in Plumpton North, Kingdom Boulevard in Weir Views East, the corner of Taylors Road and Meadows Drive in Deanside, and Charlbury Street in Thornhill Park.

Tell us your thoughts online at conversations.melton.vic.gov.au or visit a community drop-in session where Council staff will be available to answer questions. The consultation period runs until 6 September.

The drop-in sessions are:

  • Tuesday 27 August: 4pm to 7pm, Caroline Springs Leisure Centre
  • Wednesday 28 August: 10am to 12pm, Caroline Springs Library
  • Wednesday 28 August: 6pm to 8pm, Cobblebank Stadium
  • Thursday 29 August: 11am to 1pm, Melton Library & Learning Hub
  • Wednesday 4 September: 9.30am to 12pm, Thornhill Park Children's & Community Centre
