The construction of the reserve will provide a key meeting point for the community, accessible to all and be starting point to participate in healthy lifestyles. It will also provide a suitable space for training and competition purposes for the local clubs.
The Eynesbury Recreation Reserve project will see the construction of:
A senior cricket/AFL oval with sports lighting
Two caged cricket nets
Four tennis courts with lighting
Two netball courts with lighting
Two Multi-purpose tennis/futsal courts
Adventure play space
A pavilion including a social room, kitchen, four change rooms, umpires’ room, first aid and storage
Pathways and landscaping
Stage 1 construction
Stage 1A will commence in February 2019 and is expected to be completed in November 2019. This stage will be the construction of the northern oval and will be open to the public in mid 2021.
As of November 2019, oval works are progressing well. Goal posts have been installed, oval drainage is almost complete, capping layer completed and the geocomposite layer is currently being installed as per. Upcoming works include the oval perimeter fencing, irrigation and electrical works.

Stage 1B works include the pavilion, hard courts, adventure playspace, car parking, lighting and cricket nets.
This project is partially funded by the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund, Victorian Government’s Growing Suburb Fund and AFL Victoria.
