The Space LGBTQIA+ group
The Space is a safe and welcoming social support group for LGBTQIA+ young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work, study or spend time in the Melton area.
Run by Melton City Council’s Young Communities team in partnership with Western Health, The Space gives young people a place to feel supported, included and valued.
At The Space, young people can meet others, make friends, share experiences and take part in fun activities. The program celebrates LGBTQIA+ young people and supports them to connect in a safe and affirming environment.
How to join
To join The Space, visit one of our youth centres, call 03 9747 5373 or email youngcommunities@melton.vic.gov.au.
Before joining the group, new participants come along to a Meet and Greet session. This is a chance to find out more about The Space, talk about any support needs and make sure the group feels right for each young person.
All enquiries are confidential. Young people can speak with a youth worker at any time if they have questions, concerns or need support.
