Community members are invited to have their say on three important strategic documents that will guide the work of Council into the future.

The draft Council and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029, the draft Long Term Financial Plan 2025-2035, and draft Asset Plan 2025-2035 were endorsed for community consultation at this week’s Council Meeting.

The draft Council and Wellbeing Plan sets out the vision, priorities, and strategic direction for our Council over the next four years and was informed by a 50-member deliberative community panel representing a broad cross-section of the community.

Council’s Vision is: ‘A welcoming and liveable City accessible to all’, which is supported by three strategic themes:

  • A Healthy and Inclusive Community
  • A Thriving and Well-Designed City
  • A Progressive and Trusted Council

The draft Asset Plan will support the Council Plan and outlines Council’s long-term strategic management of assets over the next 10 years, including transport, building, stormwater and open space assets.

The draft Financial Plan outlines how Council will utilise available funds to deliver services, programs, and infrastructure over the next 10 years, while ensuring financially sustainability over the long term.

Feedback is invited on the three plans until Tuesday 8 July. To review the documents and share your thoughts, visit the City of Melton Conversations page.
