Estimated Resident Population
The Estimated Resident Population (ERP) is the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ official population figure for all Local Government Areas (LGAs).
The population estimate for the City of Melton as of 30 June 2024 was 219,697.

- The Fraser Rise - Plumpton area had the largest growth in the country (increasing by 4,300 people in 2023-2024) followed by the Rockbank - Mount Cottrell area which had the second largest growth in the country (increasing by 4,100 people between 2023-2024)
- Fraser Rise - Plumpton also had the second highest growth rate in he country (26 per cent)
