Closure of Plumpton Road, Fraser Rise

Project overview

Plumpton Road will be upgraded between Melton Highway and Tarletons Road as part of developer works.

For the safety of work crews and road users, Plumpton Road will be closed between Melton Highway and Tarletons Road from: Monday 19 May 2025 until end of July 2025.

Traffic will be detoured via Melton Highway and Leakes Road or Gourlay Road. Plumpton Road is still accessible via Taylors Road.

These works will see the urbanisation of Plumpton Road between Melton Highway and Tarletons Road and includes a new roundabout, on-street parking, pedestrian crossings, bike lane and expansion of the pedestrian path network. There will also be the construction of a new roundabout south of Beattys Road including an extension of the road closure, which will commence after Plumpton Road is open to Melton Highway.  We will keep the community updated once a new date for Plumpton Road reopening is set.

Please plan ahead, we understand that this is a long detour and will add to journey time.
