Notice of minor boundary change

In accordance with section 238(2)(c) of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act), Melton City Council (“Council”) gives notice of a proposed change to its municipal boundary.

If made, the change will result in the addition of approximately 421.5 hectares of land to Council’s municipal district, and the removal of the area from the municipal district of Wyndham City Council.

The proposed change is depicted below: 

 

The reason for the change is to align all of the Eynesbury township to Council.

Council will be requesting the Minister for Local Government to effect the proposed change by recommending that an Order in Council be made under section 235(a) of the Act.
