Station Road and Exford Road Corridor Upgrade Plan

Melton City Council has a range of improvements planned for Station Road and Exford Road to improve safety and alleviate congestion. 

The upgrade plan outlines the timeframe for each project. Please view the map below.

Project 1

Project: Intersection upgrade with dedicated right hand turn signals from Station Road to Richmond Road.
Location: Station Road and Richmond Road, Melton South
Timeframe: Works expected to start by mid 2026

Project 2

Project: Pedestrian signals upgrade to enable additional crossing of Exford
Location: Exford Road at Straughton Street, Melton South
Timeframe: Works expected to start by mid 2028

Project 3

Project: Two new roundabouts and intersection upgrades
Location: Exford Road intersection at Northcott Street and Wilson Road, Melton South
Timeframe: Works expected to start by mid-2026

Project 4

Project: Melton Active Transport Improvements and Extensions
Location:
 Station Street and Exford Road between High Street and Opalia Plaza, Melton South
Timeframe:
 Works expected to start by mid 2027

Project 5

Project: Intersection Upgrade and upgrade of the Exford Primary School carpark
Location: Murphys Road and Exford Road, Exford
Timeframe: Works expected to start mid to late 2026

Project 6

Project: Guard Rail/Wire rope installation
Location: Exford Road between Parwan Road and Eynesbury Road, Exford
Timeframe: Works expected to start by mid 2026

Project 7

Project: New roundabout and bridge strengthening
Location:
 Exford Road and Greigs Road, Weir Views
Timeframe:
 Works expected to start by mid 2026
