On now until 1 March 2026

The Melton City Libraries StoryWalk® returns for summer!

Following the success of last year’s event, we’re excited to work once again with award-nominated artist, Brentos, to bring you this years’ StoryWalk® book ‘Australia: From Dawn to Dusk’. Explore Australia as you've never seen it before: a dreamy pastel-popping ode to the significant places and animals on the land we all call home.

Our annual StoryWalk® is designed to help families get outdoors and get active over summer, while enjoying a great picture book together.

Here’s how it works:

  • Library staff choose a picture book each year
  • The pages are enlarged and displayed along a short walking track or park
  • Follow the trail, reading the story as you go. There will be signs on trees, posts and footpaths to guide you along the way

The StoryWalk® is self-guided, so you can visit any time during the event period.

When and where:

This year, you can visit the StoryWalk® at TWO locations! Join in from Navan Park (Melton) or Lake Caroline (Caroline Springs) any time until Sunday 1 March 2026.

Just look out for StoryWalk® pages along the pathway, and signs on the ground. You can join in at any point along the trail.
