Read, Sing, Chat

Read, Sing, Chat is a free program designed by Melton City Libraries to support you in guiding your child’s early literacy and language development, because you are their first and most important teacher.

Read, Sing, Chat is ideal for new and expectant families through to those getting ready to start school. This fun program allows you to bond with your child in activities that will spark their imagination, excite their curiosity, and help to improve their social and communication skills.    

To get started, download the Beanstack app and search for Melton City Libraries. Click ‘Sign up’ and follow the prompts to complete the registration. Click ‘Challenges’ at the bottom of the screen to sign up for the Read, Sing, Chat challenge. 

In the app, you will find lots of activities to complete with your child at the library, at home and online. You will earn points for each activity you complete, whether it’s attending a library program, reading a story together, or even visiting your local park! Keep earning points to reach milestones and be rewarded with special prizes along the way.   

Read, Sing, Chat is open to all library members who live in the City of Melton. If you are not already a library member, you can sign up online. It’s free to join!
