Hillside Community Centre features a number of multipurpose rooms, community kitchen, and outdoor areas. The centre offers an outlet for you to learn new and exciting things through programs, activities and events. Learning programs at Hillside are for all ages and are offered by local community members, local businesses as well as the Community Activation & Learning Officer who is based onsite.

Get involved in dancing classes, language classes, exercise classes, walking groups, children’s art, singing groups and more. You’ll also find many special events held at Hillside throughout the year.

Hillside Community Centre is a registered ‘Neighbourhood House’. The centre is managed by council, however, receives strategic leadership, effective state-wide advocacy, quality research, and timely advice on relevant policy and legislative developments by Neighbourhood Houses Victoria. Are you interested in what is happening in Hillside?   

Do you want to have a voice and contribute to shaping the delivery of services and activities delivered by Hillside Community Centre? 

Apply to get your place around the table at Hillside and make a positive contribution to the place you love to live in!

Take your place at the table to represent the needs of your community, provide advice and recommendations, and inform us about what’s important to people living in Hillside. Members will work alongside Neighbourhood House staff to support our philosophy of bringing people together to connect, learn and contribute in their local community through social educational, recreational and support activities.  Meetings will be held quarterly on a Wednesday evening at Hillside Community Centre.
