Join us these school holidays during Plastic Free July for a hands-on Produce Bag Making Workshop at the Kurunjang Community Hub.
Drop in anytime between 9am and 12pm on Friday July 10, during The Community Grocer’s 1st anniversary celebrations, to create your own reusable produce bags to take home. These simple bags are perfect for fruit and vegetables at the Community Grocer, supermarkets, and local markets, helping reduce the need for single-use plastic bags.
Plastic bags are often used for just a few minutes but can remain in the environment for hundreds of years. As plastic breaks down, it pollutes waterways, harms wildlife and ecosystems, and is increasingly being found in our own bodies. By making small changes in our everyday lives, we can help reduce plastic pollution and create a healthier future for both people and planet.
No sewing experience needed, just drop in, get creative and learn practical ways to reduce waste in your daily life. All materials supplied.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
