Alienation Breakthrough

Elena Bhogal completed VCE at Melton Secondary College in 2024 and was shortlisted for Top Arts 2025.She is currently undertaking her Bachelor of Laws at Australian Catholic University. 

Alienation Breakthrough themes of how alienation is advancing in society is explored.  I used oil paint with a combination of linseed oil and turpentine manipulated by organic brushstrokes.

This work will mostly appeal to adults or young adults due to its relative theme. This is important to me as these feelings of indifference and estrangement has shaped my identity in negative and positive ways which may be very much relatable to the wider community.
