Share your 2026/27 Council Plan and Budget ideas

Help shape the future of the City of Melton by sharing your ideas for the 2026/27 Council Plan and Budget.
Every year, Melton City Council develops a Budget and Annual Action Plan that guide how services, facilities and infrastructure for the City of Melton’s growing community is delivered.
This year, Council is again inviting residents, community groups, sporting clubs, and local organisations to contribute ideas for projects that will make a real difference to the community.
Ideas should support the delivery of the Community Vision and the Council and Wellbeing Plan and be deliverable by Council on land and buildings that it owns or manages.
Last year, Council funded or advocated for 64 projects put forward by the community through the Council Plan and Budget ideas process.
If you have a great idea or suggestion for Council to consider for delivery in the 2026/27 financial year, we encourage you to share it with us at City of Melton Conversations.
Contributions are open until Tuesday 27 January 2026.

“You might have an idea for improving a local park, making it easier to get around, supporting young people, or creating more community spaces. Or perhaps you’ve noticed something in your neighbourhood that could be upgraded or supported in the year ahead.”
“It’s important our residents have a say as to what improvements they’d like to see in their community.”
“Your valuable ideas will inform the Council and Wellbeing Plan 2026/27 Action Plan and help Councillors understand our community’s priorities.”
