With over 4,700 open spaces to maintain, our crews attend to all our parks and reserves on a rotating schedule to keep our grassed areas looking neat, tidy and safe for all to enjoy.

Recent warm temperatures and significant rainfall have brought on unexpected and rapid grass growth. So, it’s possible the grass at your local park or reserve may be a little longer than normal. It also means our parks and maintenance teams are working hard to tend to the faster than usual growth. But don't worry, we have extra staff on the ground to help stay on top of mowing schedules. 

We appreciate your patience as we work through all the sites near you. 

To help keep things under control in your own backyard, we have free green waste disposals until 12 January 2026 at our Melton Recycling Facility. Planned mowing for Wednesday 31 December include but are not limited to:

  • Harkness – Scarlet oak Pipe line heading south from Minns Road to Micasa Place
  • Melton South – Kurrajong Crescent Reserve behind Cloes on Station Road  
  • Brookfield – Linear reserves along and north off Brooklyn Road (day 3 of 3)
  • Weir Views – Exford Road , Seventh Bend Open Space Reserve and surrounding areas
  • Thornhill Park – Leaks Road and surrounding areas
  • Rockbank – Steward Crescent reserve
  • Deanside – Along Melton Highway near Crown Drive and surrounding areas
  • Hillside – courtheads and laneways (day 2 of 2), Parkview Place Reserve in Joseph Drive  
  • Fraser Rise – Padma Boulevard, Sienna Rise Estate Stage 1 & 2
  • Caroline Springs – Kororoit Creek Reserve North and surrounding areas
  • Burnside – Tenderfield Linear reserve heading north 

 

Planned mowing for Tuesday 30 December include but are not limited to:

  • Melton – Main roads from Ferris Road bridge along Melton Highway then starting down High street  
  •  Melton South – Blamey Drive linear between Abey Road and Bridge Road
  • Brookfield – Linear reserves along and north off Brooklyn Road
  • Eynesbury – All small parks and reserve ( for next 2 days) 
  • Rockbank – Lightsview Boulevard Drainage reserve corner of Troopers Road and surrounds
  • Hillside – courtheads and laneways  starting west to east from The Regency (2 days)
  • Deanside – Along Melton Highway near Crown Drive and surrounding areas
  • Caroline Springs – Creekview Place Biodiversity reserve and Chisholm Drive linear Reserve Wetland and surrounding areas
  • Diggers Rest – Norm Raven reserve

 

Planned mowing for Monday 29 December include but are not limited to:

  • Melton – Henry Street, Toolern Creek Linear Reserve from Nixon Street to Barries Road towards Botanical Gardens
  • Kurrunjang – Kurranjang Reserve and reserves off or along Little Blind Creek
  • Brookfield – Linears along and north off Brooklyn Road
  • Eynesbury – All small parks and reserve ( for next 3 days)  
  • Rockbank – Steward Crescent Reserve
  • Deanside – Maradona Boulevard Caroline Springs and surrounding areas
  • Caroline Springs – Chisholm Drive linear Reserve Wetland and surrounding areas
  • Burnside – Courtheads, laneways and walkways
  • Diggers Rest – Licence Road Nature strips including walkways and laneways heading north

 

Planned mowing for Wednesday 24 December include but are not limited to:

  • Melton – High Profile areas mowing  
  • Fraser Rise – Merridah Boulevard, Hume Drive and surroundings
  • Taylors Hill – Springbark Park Reserve
  • Caroline Springs – Royal Park Ave Linear reserve, Deepdene Park up to St Vincents Way Linear across to Cyprus Views Linear Reserve
  • Burnside – Courtheads, laneways and walkways
  • Diggers Rest – Licence Road Nature strips, Mountainview Drive and Argus Close

 

Planned mowing for Tuesday 23 December include but are not limited to:

  • Melton – Main roads, Melton Highway down to High Street entry areas
  • Melton South – Fraser Rise Dog Park along Toolern Creek, north of Abbey Road  
  • Brookfield – Arnolds Creek Linear  James Melrose Drive (big areas)
  • Rockbank – Viola Drive continuation of Lightview Boulevard extension
  • Hillside – laneways and courtheads  
  • Fraser Rise – Beautys Road noth, Plumpton Linear, Galibre Parade, Hume Drive, Stony Hill Creek Linear heading south
  • Taylors Hill – Springbark Park Reserve
  • Caroline Springs – Kororoit Creek Linear Reserve, north and south, The Point Reserve  down to Triandra Close, Brookside Recreational Reserve
  • Burnside – Courtheads, laneways and walkways
  • Diggers Rest – Houdini Drive and Reserve, Old Calder Highway tree planting

  • Rockbank –  Lightview Boulevard extension
  • Deanside – Angul Parade Reserve,
