Ensuring business success with support for local start-ups
Published on 24 October 2025
Melton City Council is excited to launch the City of Melton Start-Up Academy, a free program supporting new businesses and residents with a business idea to thrive through education and mentoring opportunities.
The program includes online webinars covering key topics for new businesses, from planning to marketing and strategies for business success. Guidance is also provided from an experienced business coach to help local entrepreneurs build knowledge and understand the key steps they need to take to ensure success.
Learning is flexible, with participants able to choose to attend all sessions or just those that are of particular interest to their business and needs. Recordings of each session will also be available to catch up on missed sessions.
Participants will also have access to 1:1 mentoring, and the opportunity to join an online community of like-minded entrepreneurs to network and share ideas with.
To be eligible for the program you must be a City of Melton resident. To find out more or to register, visit City of Melton Start-Up Academy.
