City of Melton to welcome 400 new citizens

Melton City Council is gearing up for a memorable Australia Day, with 400 residents, from more than 50 countries, set to become Australian citizens at a special ceremony in Cobblebank.
The citizenship ceremony will take place on Monday 26 January at Cobblebank Stadium, where residents from across the community will take the final step in their journey to becoming Australians.
Following the ceremony, the community is invited to enjoy a range of free, family friendly activities including a BBQ, face painting, and the chance to meet dingos and native reptiles.
In 2025, the City of Melton welcomed 4,646 new Australians to our City.
