Geographic naming proposal

Melton City Council is proposing to name the future community services facility in Cobblebank. The naming of this feature is required as it is a new feature. In November 2025, the community voted for Naming Cobblebank's Future Community Services Building and made naming suggestions. 

The building will be located on Hollingsworth Drive, in Cobblebank, identified in red on the below map: 

  

We are now inviting members of the public to vote on six shortlisted names. The names are:

  1. The Basalt Centre
  2. Cobblebank Place
  3. Cobblebank Community Hub
  4. Cobblebank Connect
  5. Cobblebank Community Support Centre
  6. Cobblebank Community Service Centre 
      

Members of the public can vote on one of the above names by completing the online survey on Melton City Council Conversations Page, at the following link: Naming Cobblebank's Future Community Services Building.

Submissions may also be emailed to Council at: placenaming@melton.vic.gov.au

Feedback will be open until: 5pm on Friday, 27 March 2026.
