Melton City Council is constructing a footpath network along Sugar Gum Drive and Boronia Drive in Sugar Gum Estate.

We're widening the road shoulder and providing a kerb separated pedestrian path. The path is constructed on the outer edge of Sugar Gum Drive, and the southern/outer side of Boronia Drive.

This is a path that would suit the existing infrastructure and rural lifestyle in the estate and would be a viable alternative to a fully urbanised road and footpath. Other options were expensive and challenging due to existing open drain and electricity poles.

Completed works include:

  • Bulk and major earthworks
  • Edge Strip completed
  • Drain works
  • Crushed rock filling
  • Asphalting
  • Reinstating driveways
