Notice of Intention to Lease - 28 Conservatory Drive, Deanside
Melton City Council (Council) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 of its intention to enter into the following lease:
Land owned by Council
Council proposes entering into the following lease of land owned by Council:
Land: Part of the land described as Lot RES4 on Plan of Subdivision PS849680P contained in Certificate of Title Volume 12546 Folio 355, known as 28 Conservatory Drive, Deanside, as indicatively highlighted in red on the below plan.
Tenant: Powercor Australia Ltd (ACN 064 561 109)
Commencement Date: No earlier than 28 days after 15 June 2026
Term: An initial term of thirty (30) years, with one further term of twenty (20) years.
Rent: $0.10 per annum, payable on demand
Permitted Use: Installation, construction, operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement and removal of poles, wires, cables and underground electrical cables, together with all activities required for the receiving, distributing, transforming and supplying of electricity, and allowing access for vehicles and equipment at all times.
The proposed lease supports the delivery of electricity to the Deanside Children’s and Community Centre and forms a critical part of the infrastructure required to enable the operation of the facility.
