To celebrate NAIDOC Week, Melton City Council are hosting a hands-on boomerang art workshop alongside an introduction to Australian Indigenous history and culture stories that explain the origins of animals, landscapes, and cultural practices, while also exploring values such as respect, responsibility, and connection to community.
Join us to discover Aboriginal culture, paint your own Boomerang with ochre and charcoal will whilst meeting people from other cultures who live in the Community.
Art sessions may introduce traditional symbols, patterns, and techniques used in Aboriginal art. Participants create their own artworks while learning about the meaning behind different symbols and designs.
Suitable for children aged 6 years and over. Bookings are essential.
