There will be over 35 local organisations along with Council departments who deliver support and services to the Melton Community exhibiting along with a range of interactive workshops. Step into a day designed to inspire, inform, and connect! Whether you’re seeking support, expert advice, or a dose of contagious laughter, the Melton CARE Expo is the place to be.

The day will be filled with guest speakers, interactive workshops, entertainment, giveaways, showbags plus free refreshments. Sensory and chill out zone will also be available all day. Three Minute Angels will be providing free massages.

TRAVELLERS AID: Embark on a journey of discovery

Travellers Aid empowering individuals to overcome travel barriers and embrace community life. Curious about how to make your next outing easier, more enjoyable, or accessible? Our friendly team is ready to answer your questions about mobility equipment hire, accessible events, and the full spectrum of support services that includes Connection Assistance, Travel Companion Service, Personal Care Support, Crisis Travel, Luggage Storage, Mobility Equipment Hire. Go in the draw for this workshop door prize.

SERVICES AUSTRALIA: Information session

Do you have burning questions about Centrelink, carer payments, or aged care support?

Representatives from Services Australia, Theresa and Justin, will discuss Carer and Disability payment information, including Centrelink services, payments, Aged Care, and Carers Payment. Questions from attendees are welcome. Join in to go in the draw for this workshop's door prize.

CARERS VICTORIA: Who is a carer?

Let Carers Victoria shine a light on the vital, often unsung role of carers in our community Carers Victoria represents unpaid family and friend carers in Victoria and provides support services. This session will present information regarding who qualifies as a carer, government-funded support resources such as the Carer Gateway and Victorian Support for Carers Program, carer organisations across Victoria. A door Prize will be drawn during this workshop.

LUNCH BREAK: Laughter Workshop

Merv Neal, regarded as Australia’s Leading Laughter Expert and author of “The Positive Psychology of Laughter and Humour,” will conduct a Laughter Yoga session focused on the potential health benefits of laughter. No Lycra or yoga mats required, just an open mind and the willingness to try this unusual yet effective method to reduce stress levels, improve mental health, and promote positivity. Plus, there are giveaways and a door prize to keep the good vibes going!
