Vote for City of Melton projects in ‘Pick My Park’
Published on 02 July 2026
Residents are being encouraged to help secure vital funding for City of Melton parks and reserves by casting a vote in the Victorian Government's latest round of Pick My Park funding.
A total of 124 projects are in the running for funding ranging from $20,000 to $250,000 to upgrade existing parks and open spaces or create new urban parks. Community voting will help decide which projects receive funding.
Four City of Melton projects are among those being considered for funding through the Pick My Park program in the Western Melbourne group:
Taylors Hill Sports Park
Planned improvements include outdoor gym equipment, an expanded picnic area, a new shelter, barbecue facilities, improved paving, additional play elements, more trees, and natural seating areas to encourage recreation and community connection.
Springlake Village Park, Caroline Springs
The project would deliver new play equipment for all ages, more trees and shade, upgraded pathways, additional seating and gathering spaces, a drinking fountain with a dog bowl, and landscaping improvements.
Scarlet Oak Reserve, Harkness
Proposed upgrades include inclusive play equipment, improved kick-around space, additional shade trees, upgraded and connected pathways, new seating and gathering areas, and enhanced landscaping.
Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve – Off-Leash Dog Park
The proposal includes a fully fenced dog park featuring accessible pathways, shaded seating and shelter, signage, natural rock and log features, and a drinking fountain with a dog bowl.
Victorian residents aged 16 years and over are eligible to vote. Each voter can choose three projects they think should receive funding.
Voting closes on Monday 3 August 2026. For information and to vote, visit Pick My Park.
