Mt Atkinson East Sports Reserve

Melton City Council has committed to delivery of the Mt Atkinson East Sports Reserve.  The project involves the planning, design and construction of a new active open space precinct to service the suburb of Mt Atkinson.

Sports reserve works include the construction of: 

  • four soccer pitches overlaid with 2 synthetic wicket cricket ovals
  • two synthetic cricket nets
  • a sports pavilion including community elements
  • associated infrastructure including car parking, fencing and sportsground furniture

Additional open space infrastructure is planned to include:

  • a shelter and picnic space
  • a play space
  • a circulation path network
  • trees and other planting works

The Mt. Atkinson East Sports Reserve is supported by the Victorian Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund.

 
  

June 2026 Update

This project is currently in the design phase. Preliminary construction works are already underway, with bulk earthworks in progress.
