FairGo 4 Youth Fund

FairGo 4 Youth Fund provides an opportunity for disadvantaged young people to participate in a local extra-curricular activity to enrich their lives and improve social connection and wellbeing.

The maximum amount residents can apply for, per financial year, is:

  • $400 (plus GST) or
  • $600 (plus GST) for those living with a disability.

An individual can make a single claim for a winter season, or summer season, or if term based, two consecutive terms. Funding covers registration costs only.

IMPORTANT:

  • This Fund is not a voucher. Payment is made directly to the chosen activity provider.
  • Young people must select an activity from a pre-approved activity provider who uses a Council venue.  Download a list of all eligible Activity Providers: Activity Provider List(PDF, 233KB)
  • Applications are currently being accepted for 2025/2026 summer season activities only.
  • Applications for 2025 term based activities are accepted all your round.
  • 2026 winter season applications will be accepted from 1 January 2026

Who is eligible to apply?
  • Young people aged from 8 to 16 years of age (at time of application) who are Melton residents and can demonstrate financial support needs.

Are you unable to supply proof of financial support with a health care card or pension card?  You can instead contact a registered community service organisation, charity, school or Council Support Officer to complete a Referral Form(PDF, 756KB)
