Melbourne Cup Public Holiday Closure

Melton City Libraries branches and Library Access Points will be closed for Melbourne Cup Public Holiday on Tuesday 3 November 2026.

There is no need to return any library items on this date, however, our return chutes will be open in case you would like to drop anything off. Remember that our libraries are proudly fine free, so you can enjoy your long weekend with less stress.

Don’t forget that you can still access digital collections through our eLibrary from home, any time, with thousands of free eBooks, audiobooks, movies and more to explore.

We will reopen at 8.30am on Wednesday 4 November.

From all of us at Melton City Libraries, we hope you enjoy a happy and safe Cup weekend.
