The Victorian Seniors Festival is a statewide celebration of seniors. It's also a great time to celebrate ageing well across the City of Melton.

We have a bumper mix of events planned for you to celebrate the 2025 Melton Seniors Festival across October. All bookings will open on Monday 25 August


Wednesday 1 October

Melton Botanic Garden Tour

During the Seniors Festival take a guided walking tour through the north section of the Melton Botanic Garden to see plants that tolerate a dry climate. The leisurely walk is about one and half hours followed by morning tea. Highlights are the internationally accredited Dryland Eucalyptus Arboretum, Sensory Garden, Pollinator Beds, the Mixed Garden Beds with Australian, Southern African, Mediterranean, Californian, Central and South American, Bushfoods and Victorian Volcanic Plains indigenous plants. Tour will be followed by refreshments at the Depot.

Nursery will be open for plant purchases.

Hand Build Pottery Workshop

The CARE expo celebrates older people, carers and people living with disability. There will be over 30 local organisations along with Council departments who deliver support and services to the Melton Community exhibiting along with a range of interactive workshops.

The Four Bobbies Concert

Seniors Festival 2024

The 2024 Seniors Festival saw hundreds of local seniors getting out and about, socialising, enjoying great food, being creative and even dancing to some old favourite tunes.

We hope you came along and had fun with us, and plans are already underway for the 2025 Seniors Festival, 1 - 31 October.  We'll see you there!
