Melton Residents of all ages and abilities are invited to discover something new, spark their curiosity and embrace the joy of lifelong learning at the 2026 City of Melton Learning Festival.

Returning for its eighth year, the Learning Festival will run from 29 August to 12 September 2026, with this year's theme, Expanding Your Horizons, encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones, explore new interests and develop new skills.

Over two weeks, Melton City Council will offer an exciting program of free activities, workshops and events at libraries and community centres across the City. From inspiring author talks and hands-on workshops to creative DIY activities and interactive classes, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The festival will begin with a free community celebration event at Melton Library & Learning Hub on Saturday 29 August from 10am, featuring a range of fun activities for the whole family.
