We have installed a signalised crossing to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians along Caroline Springs Boulevard, between College Street and Lake Street.
A traffic study commissioned by Council recommended several improvements that address current and future traffic demands while maintaining road safety on Caroline Springs Boulevard. Caroline Springs Boulevard sees approximately 26,000 vehicles travel on this road per day. A signalised crossing provides a secure way for pedestrians to cross between the school and library to the retail precinct.
This project aimed to alleviate existing congestion and prepare for future traffic increases with upgraded infrastructure, ensuring smoother and more efficient travel through the area.
Works included:
landscaping to improve both functionality and local amenity.
The project is complete.
