Safer City Plan
The Melton City Council Safer City Plan 2015-17 provides a guide for Council to continue working with individuals, organisations and the community to identify and address potential community safety issues, ensure that everyone living, working or visiting the municipality can go about their daily pursuits without fear or risk of harm or injury.
It also provides a guide to assist Council in addressing community safety priority projects. Council implements the Plan in partnership with the Community Safety Committee, and other community groups and agencies.
The vision of the Safer City Plan 2015-17 is for the City of Melton to be a safe, healthy and equitable municipality with a positive community spirit and sense of identity. To achieve this, the Plan identifies three priority areas:
- Vibrant places and spaces
- An informed, connected and resilient community
- A responsive Council and local service systems
