World Environment Day Grants 2022

To celebrate World Environment Day, Council offers annual grants for new or established community organisations to deliver environmental projects or programs that have a positive impact on the local environment and/or promote environmental stewardship and sustainability.

The total grant pool is $40,000 and applications for larger projects up to $10,000 can be made.

Past applicants have used the grant funding for a wide variety of projects including:

  • installing wildlife cameras for monitoring
  • mapping out rabbit warrens for destruction
  • planting trees and other community engagement activities.

Not for profit community groups and local schools are encouraged to apply.
