Summary of the 2019 Summit:
The Venture Melton Business Summit 2019: Unleash Your Entrepreneurial DNA, was held 21 June 2019.
The Windmill Gardens Reception centre provided the perfect setting to allow business owners, managers and emerging entrepreneurs an opportunity to get away from their day-to-day and receive advice and inspiration on how they can take the next step with their business ideas.

Naomi Simson - Founder of Redballoon, Co-Founder of The Big Red Group, Author, LinkedIn Influencer, TV Personality
As one of Australia’s most prominent entrepreneurs, Naomi Simson is known as the founder of online experience retailer RedBalloon and the co-founder of the Big Red Group (BRG), with the purpose of shifting the way people experience life. The group now serves an experience every minute, and turns over more than $100m. This has been quite the entrepreneurial journey and Naomi will be sharing her key learnings.
Dylan Alcott - three time Paralympic Gold Medallist, Charity Founder, TV Personality, Game Changer
Not many people can lay claim to being a Paralympic gold medallist and world champion whilst still being in their teenage years. Then again, there aren’t many people like Dylan Alcott.
Dylan has represented Australia on the international stage in both wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis since the age of 13. Dylan is also an entrepreneur and an advocate to help businesses better understand and treat customers with disabilities.
Dylan will inspire and energise you with his remarkable story.
Chris Helder - International Keynote Speaker and Best Selling Author
Chris Helder is a business communication genius and master storyteller whose presentations have radically transformed how thousands of people worldwide communicate with clients, customers, colleagues, staff and teams.
He has been a professional speaker for 17 years and has done over 2,300 presentations around the world. He is the author of three bestselling books.
Chris will present on the topic of ‘Useful Beliefs’, a practical tool for people to apply in their professional and personal lives.
Steve Glaveski - Entrepreneur, Author, Podcast Host
Originally from Melbourne’s western suburbs, Steve Glaveski is an entrepreneur, author and podcast host whose mission is to unlock the latent potential of organisations and their people so that they can create more impact for humanity and ultimately to lead more fulfilling lives. He is the co-founder and CEO of Collective Campus, an innovation accelerator based in Melbourne and Singapore.
Steve will be sharing insights from his book Employee to Entrepreneur: How To Earn Your Freedom and Do Work That Matters.
Hannah Gee from VU Innovations - Collaborator, Problem Solver, Learning Culture Expert
Hannah is a leader who is passionate about building great learning cultures. Hannah has a background in customised learning design partnering with global companies to design customised blended learning solutions. Hannah was director for The School of Life Australia where she launched a rigorous and fun emotional skills learning and development offering. Hannah hustles, develops individuals and teams and loves helping build businesses.
Thomas Anbeek from VU Innovations - Entrepreneur in Residence, Business Builder, Start-Up Expert
Thomas has a passion for entrepreneurship and startups. After helping to establish the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship in his homeland of Netherlands, Thomas moved to Australia where he became the first employee at Startup Victoria and was responsible for growing the community from 3,000 to 11,000 startup enthusiasts.
