Community Learning Plan
The City of Melton Community Learning Plan 2015 - 2018(PDF, 27MB) and the yearly Action Plan(PDF, 822KB) are developed and implemented by the Council’s Community Learning Board.
The Community Learning Board has been established as an advisory committee of Council. The Board consults with the community and provides advice and recommendations to Council on matters relating to lifelong learning and its social and economic benefits.
The purpose of the Board is to consult with the City of Melton community about how to enrich social, cultural, economic and personal well-being through lifelong learning. The Board also brings key people and organisations together to facilitate the implementation of the Community Learning Plan (CLP) for the City of Melton.
The CLP is designed to support, promote and incubate initiatives that develop our community at the individual level; supporting personal development and the gaining of skills and qualifications, and at the community level; for improved social resilience and economic outcomes.
The Board publishes an Annual Report(PDF, 1MB) outlining the achievements and activities undertaken in the previous year and an Evaluation Report(PDF, 2MB) and Literature Review(PDF, 942KB) every 3 years.
The Melton City Council Learning Directory is published each school term by the Learning Board to promote and support community lifelong learning opportunities.
