After two years of postponements, the biggest food and music festival in Melbourne’s west - Flavour Fest - is back and better than ever with a delicious blend of taste sensations, kids’ activities and chart-topping music artists to take centre stage on Saturday 22 October.

Proudly presented by Melton City Council and Woodlea in celebration of community, culture and cuisine, the free event will see Melburnians treated to tasty bites from Melbourne’s most popular food trucks and restaurants, live cooking demonstrations from some of the most popular chefs and a stellar line up of must-see artists who will have the crowd dancing into the sunset.

With sweet sounds kicking off at 4pm, confirmed artists include The Vanns, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Kyle Lionhart and Clews, with headliners Holy Holy due to close out the fun-filled festival with a bang.

Before the music stage lights up, the afternoon is reserved for all things tasty with live cooking demonstrations from famous Melbourne and interstate chefs, including Sashi Cheliah and Sarah Todd, Tom Sarafian and Adam D’Sylva.

Along with famous chef talent, Flavour Fest is also proud to partner with Free to Feed, a social enterprise that creates empowering employment opportunities for people seeking asylum and refugees through the creation of shared food experiences, with a number of cooking workshops to be hosted throughout the day.

Along with food demonstrations, Flavour Fest will further fuel your taste buds by featuring Melbourne’s tastiest food trucks and a dedicated ‘Sweet Alley’ zone, ensuring all sweet tooths get a taste of some of the best desserts Melbourne has to offer.

For those over 18, Flavour Fest’s dedicated ‘Brew Zone’ is a must-visit, showcasing local boutique brewers, wine distillers and artisan spirits from Melbourne's west including the likes of Two Birds Brewing, Daylesford Cidery, Larrakin Gin and Prosecco Van.

City of Melton Mayor Cr Goran Kesic said attendees can look forward to a quality family-friendly festival that will showcase great Australian music and delicious food in the City of Melton.

“Flavour Fest is a chance for residents to celebrate what they love about where they live and for visitors to get a taste of what the west has to offer. Not only is this going to be a fantastic day out for everyone, but it’s an opportunity to highlight and support some of the west’s amazing boutique food businesses, wineries and breweries, as well as some of the talented artists that call the west home.”

Woodlea’s Acting Project Director Charbel Youssef is excited to see Flavour Fest grow to new heights in 2022, providing an unmatched experience for Melbourne’s west.

“Fostering a dynamic and welcoming community is always a key priority for Woodlea, so this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of Australia’s most esteemed musicians and hospitality businesses.”

Designed as a fun-filled day for the whole family, Flavour Fest will further entertain guests with a giant ferris wheel and multiple rides, along with free crafts and interactive experiences. The festival will conclude with an epic firework display, adding to the magic of the event.
