City of Melton Mayor Cr Kathy Majdlik has this week been elected a member of the Municipal Association of Victoria Board.
One of just 12 regional councillors across the state to make up the board, Cr Majdlik will have the opportunity to play a key role in guiding the strategic direction of the association as it continues its valuable work representing the state’s 79 local councils.
As the Metro West MAV Board member, she will represent Melton City, Maribyrnong City, Hobsons Bay City, Wyndham City, Moonee Valley City, and Brimbank City councils.
Cr Majdlik said she felt privileged to be able to represent Metro West for the next two years.
“Being elected to the board is an absolute honour, and I’m very grateful to everyone who has supported me,” Cr Majdlik said.
“I look forward to working with my fellow board members to set priorities, define policies and strategies, and do what I can to support the MAV in its work to strengthen the local government sector.”
