Let's celebrate kids

From story time to bubble making and music to trivia, Melton City Council has so much free fun in store for kids of all ages this Children’s Week (25-31 October).
Children aged 0 to 12 and their families are invited to participate in a variety of online activities and workshops during the week, as part of a national program recognising the talents, skills, achievements and rights of young people.
City of Melton Mayor Cr Kathy Majdlik said the special online event would be a celebration of childhood.
“This year has been particularly challenging for children, so these activities are an opportunity for families to have some fun together and celebrate the joy that children bring,” Cr Majdlik said.
Each activity is tailored to a specific age group and there is something for everyone. For infants and pre-schoolers, there will be story time sessions, musical instrument making and performances, a healthy kinder kids’ session, scavenger hunt and more. Primary school aged children will also get to join in the fun with a drawing workshop, trivia session and bubble art.
Council will also be sharing a variety of programs, services and resources for families and children to explore during the event.
