Have your say on a strategy to improve parkland around the Melton Weir and Reservoir.

Melton City Council is considering ways to link open space, explore recreational opportunities and make the most of the scenic natural setting.

Councillors voted to endorse the draft Melton Weir Parkland Strategy for public consultation on 25 March, and it will be open for community comment from 19 April to 6 May.

Once adopted, the plan will guide development of the parkland surrounding the weir. Initial stages of the draft strategy included a detailed site assessment and background analysis as well as consultation on the weir's existing uses.
