Do you have a great idea for the Council budget?

Does your sports club, church, community group, or organisation have a project you think Council should deliver? 

Melton City Council is inviting organisations and residents to put forward their ideas and projects to help prepare the 2023/24 budget.    

Council is looking for projects that will make a difference to the local community.  

Budget submissions can be made online from 21 November until 16 December at: melton.vic.gov.au/budgetideas

You can find out more information, ask questions about the process and discuss your idea with Councillors and Council staff at the following budget information drop-in sessions: 

  • Saturday 3 December 10-12noon, Caroline Springs Library
  • Tuesday 6 December 6pm – 8pm, Melton Library

You will also have the opportunity to present your ideas to Councillors in person early next year. If you would like to pitch your project in person, please indicate this when making your online submission.  

To make a pitch, you will need to share details about your organisation together with your proposal for a project, program or service including who it would service and how it would address a community need and benefit locals. Submitters will also need to be prepared with budget details and project plans.
